WEBSITES BY KIM | Websites, Web Content and Marketing Ideas
For Mental Health Professionals in Private Practice

Mental Health Practitioners - Are potential clients able to find you online?

They probably can! But without a website you do not control a great deal of the information they are likely to come accross (do a simple test - see sidebar).

My name is Kim Richardson. I work with mental health professionals in private practice who do not like promoting themselves! If you are like most psychotherapists, you do not spend enough time marketing your practice consistently. Perhaps you're not treating as many people as you'd like to.

Websites by Kim helps you address this problem. Through consultation, I help my clients produce friendly, informative and professional websites. AND make use of effective marketing strategies in line with their professional values.

This makes you more accessible and approachable to interested clients and can help you attract more business.

Consider what Debbie Weil says in a Wall Street Journal interview:
"Everybody has an online identity whether they know it or not.. You're going to be Googled. No one hires anyone or buys anything these days without going online first and doing research.

Without a website, you are dependent on sites that automatically generate profiles by searching for data about you online, especially if you are active in academia etc. For example, go to www.zoominfo.com and type in your name. This website uses all references to your name that are stored on websites on the internet and comes up with a profile for you that is AUTOMATICALLY generated.

I believe that a website with content designed by you is one of the best ways that YOU can take charge of your online presence!

Do you agree that more and more of your potential clients are using the internet to:

  • Search for a therapist in their georgraphical area (work or home)
  • put a profile to the names on their network list, in order to decide who to call
  • decide which (if any) of the names given by a trusted referral source they should contact
  • Find your email address to make initial contact
  • Get directions to your office
